								 Frequently asked questions
 Q. What is Jitsu?
 A. Well Jitsu is a martial art based on techniques of locking, throwing, striking and disarming. It is a defensive martial art the basis of is all is to weaken you opponents balance and apply techniques to control and sometimes incapacitate your opponent. Huge thugish blokes may have an advantage in a brawl but Jitsu is about co-ordination and control. If you don't think of yourself as being well co-ordinated then there are
few better things than martial arts to teach you improved control of your body. Many excellent Jitsuka are women so don't be put off if you think it's only a mans game. Jitsu is an excellent form of self-defence for both men and women.

 Q. Why learn a martial art then?
